The Maritime Museum also has considerable editorial activity. The works published endeavour to follow the subjects dealt with by the Museum, and are an excellent assistance to anyone who is interested in the Portuguese presence in the Far East and maritime activities in this region of the world.
The Museum is open to considering proposals of studies, essays or theses by graduates sent to them for possible publication, if these contain topics in its area of speciality, in particular studies referring to Maritime History and Chinese Naval Construction.
WorkshopThe great majority of work on the models of vessels on exhibition at the Museum is carried out in its workshop. Models can also be executed by private order, subject to previous quotations. |

Educational ServiceNeedless to say, the purpose of visiting any museum includes much more than just viewing the exhibits. In a bid to contribute to students?all-round development and stimulate their interests in the themes of the Museum’s exhibition, we have designed a series of activities and workshops (please refer to the table) for students of different ages. Your valuable comments on the learning activities are most welcome and we look forward to your participation in the design of a tailor-made educational program on maritime knowledge. Meanwhile we offer seminars for teachers to equip them with skills to give students guided tours to the Museum whenever they see fit.
